Tapestry seeks a Principal Solutions Architect for Order Management in North Bergen, NJ. Lead omnichannel platform design on IBM Sterling OMS.
Role & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, design, scope, and document integration strategies for new products, processes, technologies, and omnichannel solutions
- Diagnose complex technical and business challenges and develop creative, optimized solutions
- Design and maintain comprehensive technical architecture documentation across a multi-brand, multi-region omnichannel environment
- Perform enterprise-wide impact analysis across systems and third-party solutions, providing high-level cost and effort estimates for major initiatives
- Develop detailed technical implementation plans and timelines in collaboration with engineering stakeholders and enterprise standards
- Identify and enforce architectural principles, frameworks, and standards while guiding solution review processes to ensure thorough vetting
- Align platform vision and overall roadmap with technical requirements of the technology stack
- Communicate technical needs, limitations, and recommendations clearly to cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, or foreign equivalent
- 8+ years of experience with multi-tenant platforms and diverse Sterling OMS implementations
- 8+ years of experience with core order management modules including DOM, GIV, SC, Platform, Payments, COM, and SOM
- 8+ years of experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Demandware/SFCC, POS, ESB, CRM, and Analytics systems
- 8+ years of experience with integration concepts including REST, SOAP, Batch, SFTP, and API Gateways
- 8+ years of experience with JavaScript (Node.js, React, Angular.js), Java, SQL, XML, JSON, and microservices architecture
- 3+ years of experience with PII and PCI security compliance policies
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and BitBucket
- 3+ years of experience in fashion and multi-brand commercial environments
- 3+ years of experience with cloud-hosted solutions on IBM Cloud or comparable platforms
Skills
Experience
8 years of progressive experience in solution architecture, enterprise systems integration, and omnichannel technology platforms, with demonstrated expertise in IBM Sterling Order Management implementations and multi-tenant SaaS environments. Proven track record of designing scalable, secure architectures that support high-performance operations across global, multi-brand organizations. Experience working in fashion, luxury retail, or consumer goods technology environments is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, or foreign equivalent
