Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between retail business stakeholders (store operations, merchandising, POS support) and engineering teams to define, scope and deliver system enhancements.
- Design, document and implement integrations across POS, inventory, ERP and omnichannel commerce platforms, ensuring data integrity and operational resilience.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis and drive remediation with vendors and internal teams to minimise store disruption.
- Lead requirements gathering, technical specifications, test plans and UAT for retail system releases and store rollouts.
- Coordinate change management and end-user training for stores and regional support centres; produce clear technical and operational documentation.
- Manage third‑party vendor relationships for retail applications, including prioritisation, SLA governance and release coordination.
- Analyse retail data flows and system performance to identify automation opportunities, process improvements and scalability constraints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in IT roles supporting retail or consumer-facing operations; demonstrable experience with POS and omnichannel systems.
- Proven experience specifying and integrating systems via RESTful APIs, middleware/ETL and batch interfaces.
- Strong stakeholder management and written communication skills; able to translate technical detail into business impact.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and working in cross-functional squads.

Five or more years of progressive IT experience supporting retail or consumer-facing organisations, with hands-on responsibility for POS, inventory/ERP integrations and production incident resolution; prior involvement in store rollouts and omnichannel projects is expected.
Education
