Role & Responsibilities

• Review prototype samples for quality and accuracy in collaboration with the product development team
• Support PD team in delivering presentation samples on schedule and to specification
• Resolve technical issues, create mock-ups, and implement pattern revisions as required during development
• Conduct final sample reviews with PD to ensure design intent and manufacturing standards are met
• Maintain and update the development pattern library and best practices documentation
• Complete and clarify technical comments for distribution to Vietnam offices, supply partners, and Contract Item Lead, with copies to PD
• Manage transfer packages to other supply partners at the Contract Item Lead location
• Execute product testing during all development stages and sample iterations
• Travel to regional offices and partner facilities to support on-site engineering and quality assurance
• Coordinate with multi-cultural teams across different geographical locations and time zones

Qualifications

• Extended knowledge of paper pattern making (CAD not required)
• Handbag manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Sampling experience in luxury leather goods production (preferred)
• Creative problem-solving ability for design and construction challenges
• Strong aesthetic sense and quality evaluation skills for leather goods
• Proficiency in technical sample review and quality assessment
• Fluent English language communication

Skills

Experience

Demonstrated experience in luxury handbag product development, sampling, and technical engineering. Background in resolving technical issues and managing sample iterations through multiple development stages. Proven ability to coordinate across multiple regional offices and manufacturing partners in a matrix environment.

Education

Technical qualification or certification in fashion/apparel engineering, product development, or equivalent practical experience in luxury leather goods manufacturing.
