Tapestry (Kate Spade) — Senior Planner in Greater London. Lead merchandise planning, forecasting and inventory optimisation for seasonal collections.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own merchandise planning for assigned categories and seasonal assortments, delivering accurate weekly/monthly/seasonal forecasts and financial plans.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB), inventory cadence and allocation to maximise sell-through and minimise markdowns across channels.
- Produce demand forecasts using historical sell-through, trend indicators and commercial input; translate forecasts into replenishment and purchase recommendations.
- Partner with buying, trading, supply chain and wholesale teams to align assortment, delivery cadence and inventory targets to commercial objectives.
- Track and report core KPIs (sell-through, weeks of supply, stock cover, GMROI) and present actionable insights to commercial stakeholders.
- Drive initiatives to optimise inventory flow, reduce excess and improve on‑time availability for key launches and seasonal peaks.
- Lead post-season analysis and business reviews to refine forecasting models and planning assumptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, merchandising, economics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven commercial acumen with strong numeracy and an ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrable experience in merchandise planning, open-to-buy management and allocation for fashion or lifestyle brands.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing cross-functional teams (buying, supply chain, trading, wholesale).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to present complex analysis succinctly to senior stakeholders.

Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive planning or merchandising experience within fashion, accessories or premium retail; prior exposure to seasonal product cycles and multichannel inventory management preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, merchandising, economics or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
