Tapestry seeks a Senior Manager, SRE in Shanghai to lead platform reliability and SRE strategy for Coach and Kate Spade New York.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the SRE strategy to ensure platform availability, scalability and performance for mission‑critical systems across brands.
- Establish, enforce and monitor SLOs, SLIs and error budgets; drive service-level governance across product domains.
- Leverage AI/ML and intelligent agents to enable predictive incident prevention and autonomous remediation capabilities.
- Lead incident management and major incident response, conduct root cause analyses and implement long‑term prevention plans.
- Champion blameless postmortems and continuous improvement practices to increase system resilience and reduce recurrence.
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for provisioning, configuration management and lifecycle operations.
- Build and operate comprehensive observability stacks (metrics, logs, traces, alerts) to reduce MTTR and detect anomalies proactively.
- Own and optimise end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines and introduce progressive delivery patterns (canary, feature flags, blue/green) to minimise deployment risk.
- Enforce automated testing, quality gates and rollback mechanisms across environments to maintain deployment safety.
- Recruit, lead and mentor a growing team of vendor and in‑house SRE engineers; foster a culture of ownership, learning and operational discipline.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Data, AI Platform and Security teams to align reliability objectives with business priorities and roadmap decisions.
- Translate technical risks and trade‑offs for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to inform investment and design choices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of software or systems engineering experience, including at least 3 years in an SRE, DevOps or platform engineering leadership role.
- Proven track record operating large‑scale, high‑traffic production systems with measurable reliability improvements.
- Deep practical expertise with cloud platforms and container orchestration, IaC, observability and release engineering best practices.
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, distributed systems, Linux performance tuning and automation.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin to support global collaboration.

Experience
At least 8 years in software or systems engineering with demonstrated ownership of large‑scale production platforms and a minimum of 3 years leading SRE/DevOps or platform engineering teams in high‑traffic environments.
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
