Role & Responsibilities
- Own monthly sales, margin and inventory financial planning and re‑forecasting by category and channel across full‑price stores and e‑commerce.
- Provide strategic insights by analysing historical trends and business drivers to identify risks, opportunities and actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Lead seasonal investment and budget planning in partnership with Buying and Global Planning; ensure alignment to category and channel strategies.
- Approve seasonal markdowns and promotional strategies to protect margin while achieving sales targets and preserving brand integrity.
- Deliver executive‑level reporting and present quantitative and qualitative analyses in weekly business reviews, hindsight analyses and investment discussions.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Buying, Store Operations and Wholesale to optimise inventory flow, allocation and sell‑through.
- Drive continuous improvement of planning tools, systems and processes to increase accuracy, scalability and operational efficiency.
- Lead ad‑hoc analysis to answer evolving business questions and influence strategic decisions.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of planning experience within vertical retail or multi‑channel organisations, including leadership responsibility for financial planning and inventory management.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable strategy and to present findings persuasively to senior leadership.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF) and proven aptitude for learning and optimising planning systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to prioritise multiple initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
- Track record of building, coaching and developing high‑performing teams; strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional influence.

Minimum seven years in merchandise/financial planning or related commercial planning roles within retail or multi‑channel environments, with experience leading teams and owning P&L‑related forecasting, inventory strategy and promotional planning.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred but not required.
