Coach seeks Senior Manager, Online Trading in Greater London. Lead eCommerce strategy, trading performance, and merchandising team across UK digital channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Director of eCommerce in developing and executing eCommerce strategy with focus on conversion-led growth across retail and outlet channels
- Own trading performance across markets through detailed analysis of site metrics, customer behavior, and sales performance to identify improvement opportunities
- Deliver weekly trading updates to senior leadership with clear insights and actionable recommendations
- Partner with Finance to forecast demand (orders, units, returns) and ensure operational readiness and SLA delivery
- Collaborate with Buying teams to align eCommerce merchandising with commercial priorities and inform future inventory decisions
- Lead and develop the online merchandising team to ensure best-in-class execution across product launches, campaigns, and daily trading activities
- Oversee site merchandising, product data, and content processes to ensure timely and accurate execution across all markets
- Continuously optimize product findability, navigation, category structure, and product pages tailored to relevant customer segments
- Partner with Product and Digital teams to deliver a robust A/B testing roadmap driving conversion and customer experience improvements
- Drive customer-first approach across digital projects with focus on personalization and local market relevance
- Identify and recommend enhancements to site functionality and user experience in collaboration with global and regional teams
- Utilize analytics tools including Google Analytics and Quantum Metric to understand on-site behavior and inform decision-making
- Collaborate with Marketing, PR, and CRM teams to ensure effective online campaign execution
- Partner with Marketplace teams to share insights and identify opportunities for overall digital growth
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across Buying, Creative, IT, and Marketing functions regionally and globally
- Monitor competitor activity and broader eCommerce trends to inform continuous optimization
- Produce clear, concise performance reporting and high-quality executive presentations leveraging data analysis
- Partner with Customer Insights and Analytics teams to drive customer experience improvements
- Support consumer insight initiatives including surveys and usability testing to enhance digital experience
- Work closely with Customer Care to improve post-purchase journey and ensure alignment of site processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in eCommerce trading, merchandising, or online retail management at mid-to-senior level
- Demonstrated expertise in trading analytics and performance optimization across digital channels
- Strong experience with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and equivalent tools
- Track record of leading and developing high-performing merchandising or trading teams
- Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Buying, Marketing, and Technology
- Proven ability to deliver insights-driven recommendations and executive-level reporting
- Experience with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and customer experience enhancement in eCommerce environments
Skills
Experience
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in eCommerce, digital trading, or online merchandising roles, with at least 3 years in a senior management or leadership capacity. Experience within luxury fashion retail or premium apparel brands highly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or related discipline. Advanced analytics certifications or digital marketing qualifications are advantageous.
