Tapestry seeks Senior Manager, On-site Product Engineering in Indonesia to oversee product development alignment and manufacturing quality across leather goods production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the exclusive Product Development liaison between Asia PD team, on-site operation team, and suppliers, facilitating real-time two-way feedback loops and resolving cross-party communication barriers
- Systematically communicate and reinforce design intent, product quality expectations, and global brand standards to on-site teams and all suppliers
- Support smooth implementation of approved changes and design updates by verifying understanding and execution at the supplier level
- Collaborate closely with internal Engineering and Product Development teams to conduct multi-dimensional validation on all supplier output
- Proactively observe and promptly flag discrepancies or risks related to material application, craftsmanship interpretation, or specification deviations, escalating critical issues with structured solutions
- Acquire in-depth product knowledge through market product handover meetings and guide all suppliers to strictly follow predefined design intent and quality standards
- Coordinate with the Lead Engineer to maintain engineering documentation, evaluate craftsmanship innovation solutions, and align before rolling out to mass production
- Partner with Product Development leadership to assess technical feasibility and cost optimization potential of proposed product upgrades
- Identify product non-conformity issues, coordinate with regional hub teams to launch official product audits, and follow up on implementation of corrective actions
Qualifications
- Strong Product Development, Engineering, or Manufacturing experience in leather goods and accessories
- Proven ability to serve as a trusted liaison across multiple stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated excellence in maintaining product consistency and design integrity
- Experience with supplier management and multi-party coordination in manufacturing environments
- Strong documentation and SOP development capabilities

Experience
Strong background in Product Development, Engineering, or Manufacturing with extensive experience managing leather goods and accessories production. Proven track record of coordinating complex multi-party relationships between product development teams, on-site operations, and external suppliers. Demonstrated ability to translate design intent into consistent manufacturing execution and resolve production challenges with technical acumen.
