About Tapestry

Kate Spade New York is a globally recognised lifestyle brand known for its colorful, optimistic design language across handbags, ready-to-wear, jewelry, footwear and home. The brand is part of Tapestry, a global house of fashion brands, and operates with a creative, consumer-centric orientation while leveraging the scale and resources of its parent company.

Kate Spade New York (Tapestry) seeks a Senior Manager, Global Visual Production in New York to lead global visual production, vendor strategy and budgets.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end production of all physical brand expressions globally — from creative handoff through fabrication, installation and post-mortem evaluation across windows, in-store environments, pop-ups, seasonal launches and events.
  • Translate creative concepts into executable production strategies, detailed timelines, critical paths and region-specific deliverables to ensure fidelity to creative intent and brand standards.
  • Build and scale a global vendor and agency ecosystem: identify, qualify, onboard and manage fabricators, vendors and experiential partners to support varying project scopes and regional requirements.
  • Partner with Procurement to define scopes of work, manage RFP processes, negotiate contracts and ensure SOW alignment and compliance across suppliers.
  • Own production budgets and global spend visibility; manage payment processes and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, value engineering and scalable solutions without compromising design integrity.
  • Establish and implement repeatable production processes, tools and frameworks that drive consistency, risk mitigation and operational excellence across regions.
  • Serve as a primary cross-functional liaison with Visual Merchandising, Store Design, Marketing, Retail Operations and regional teams to ensure alignment and scalability of physical brand experiences.
  • Direct production for consumer-facing and internal events, ensuring experiential moments meet design standards and operational requirements.

Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in production, visual merchandising, store design or experiential production, with demonstrated ownership of multi-region or global initiatives.
  • Proven track record managing vendors and agencies at scale, including vendor selection, onboarding, performance management and contractual oversight.
  • Experience partnering with Procurement on SOW development, RFPs and contract management.
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on responsibility for production budgets, invoicing and cost-control measures.
  • Deep practical knowledge of fabrication, materials, installation processes and logistical considerations for retail and event environments.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management and stakeholder management skills; capacity to manage concurrent complex projects across time zones.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to brief creative teams and translate design intent into operational requirements.
