Kate Spade New York hiring Senior Manager, Global Visual Operations in New York. Lead visual merchandising strategy and operations across all retail channels.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, consistent, and timely visual merchandising directives on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal basis based on business needs and product strategies, delivered through coordinated global communications
  • Manage visual merchandising standards, tools, and standard operating procedures ensuring high-impact displays that capture brand essence across all store environments and sales channels
  • Create and disseminate window, floorset, and launch installation communications for stores, ensuring accurate and consistent execution; manage global photo review process to monitor execution across online and multi-line channels
  • Lead monthly in-store walkthroughs and floorset review sessions with executive teams, communicating product changes, new offerings, and placement strategy modifications
  • Manage team travel budgets and logistics for store walkthroughs, team meetings, summits, and new store opening/renovation projects; support SLC and DLC logistics as needed
  • Manage procurement and vendor relationships for visual merchandising fixtures, props, and display elements related to new store openings, renovations, and seasonal initiatives
  • Oversee FRSO (Fixture & Replenishment Store Orders) offering for new store openings and relocations aligned with current in-store merchandising strategy
  • Coordinate GVE team calendars around monthly walkthroughs, market meetings, wholesale showroom setups, new store openings, and renovations; manage team PTO to ensure proper project staffing
  • Lead global visual merchandising calls with field teams, communicating and problem-solving monthly floorsets, mapping, and visual initiatives
  • Partner with merchandising, North American operations, global and North American retail visual management teams, and wholesale partners to ensure strategic alignment on seasonal directions and consistent brand execution
  • Collaborate with buying and wholesale teams to balance brand storytelling with commercial priorities, driving customer engagement and sales across diverse retail partners
  • Mentor and manage visual communications associate on all assigned projects and initiatives
  • Create presentation decks for key initiatives clearly communicating visual merchandising perspective to stakeholder groups
  • Maintain and update merchandising guides for global teams, ensuring all projects meet timelines and are executed on schedule

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in visual merchandising, retail operations, or related luxury retail function
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing visual merchandising strategies across multi-unit retail environments
  • Proven project management capability including timeline management, budget oversight, and cross-functional coordination
  • Strong understanding of product merchandising, placement principles, adjacency strategy, and visual standards compliance
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, procurement processes, and fixture production
  • Proficiency in creating clear visual communication documents, guidelines, and training materials
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor team members in visual merchandising execution and standards
