Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex, sensitive workplace investigations involving allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, workplace violence and policy violations; ensure timely, objective and defensible outcomes.
  • Plan and execute investigations independently: scope allegations, identify applicable policies and laws, conduct interviews, review evidence and assess credibility.
  • Maintain comprehensive, defensible investigation files that document findings, conclusions and recommended actions.
  • Provide consultative guidance to HR partners, business leaders and Legal on ER issues, policy interpretation, conflict management and risk mitigation.
  • Manage multiple ER cases concurrently while preserving confidentiality and meeting established timelines.
  • Partner with stakeholders to execute involuntary terminations when required and advise on progressive and corrective actions.
  • Support the reasonable accommodations process, including the ADA interactive process and compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Track, analyze and report ER metrics and trends (case volumes, time-to-resolution, repeat concerns, accommodation requests) and identify systemic risks.
  • Develop and support training initiatives related to investigations, respectful workplace behavior and accommodations.
  • Support audits, internal reviews and responses to agency inquiries or litigation holds and monitor evolving employment law and guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive experience in human resources, employee relations or investigative work; corporate and retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record conducting complex, sensitive workplace investigations with defensible documentation.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws governing discrimination, harassment, retaliation and reasonable accommodations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and investigative findings.
  • Coaching, counseling and stakeholder-influence capabilities with strong customer focus.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and high-volume caseloads.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% and to work flexible hours to support retail operations across time zones.

Experience

Six or more years of progressive HR, employee relations or investigative experience, with demonstrable experience leading complex, sensitive investigations and advising senior HR and business leaders. Prior exposure to retail operations and collaboration with Legal teams is preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to USD 130,000 per annum.
