Tapestry (Kate Spade New York) — New York: Senior Inventory Planning Analyst managing global open‑to‑buy, seasonal buys and inventory forecasting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly global open‑to‑buy across all business units, channels and categories to align inventory with sales plans.
- Produce monthly receipt and obsolescence forecasts for finance and contribute licensing forecasts as required.
- Support and execute seasonal purchasing activities across channels; submit final seasonal buys to supply chain and update seasonal investment recaps.
- Aggregate BU purchase plans using the internal procurement database to present a consolidated supply & demand view for cross‑functional meetings.
- Act as liaison between commercial teams and production; partner with BUs to prioritise purchase orders and coordinate with PO management.
- Monitor and manage changes to seasonal buys, validate purchase orders and ensure accuracy of keyed POs in systems.
- Manage post‑market sample orders, calendar and associated sample budget; manage global pricing validation for ticketing accuracy.
- Publish final seasonal margin and maintain the fiscal DTC IMU tracker; provide seasonal sales orders for upload into SAP by operations/account services.
- Coordinate bi‑monthly chase purchasing, seasonal supply & demand meetings and commercial calendar management.
- Partner with IT and global merchandising teams on system implementations, integrations and to validate line plan set‑up in systems.
- Support rerouting of inventory between segments/warehouses and monitor purchases against open‑to‑buy for each BU.
- Prepare monthly demand inventory review decks and seasonal mid‑market check‑in materials for leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in planning, buying or inventory management within a multichannel retail business.
- Demonstrated experience managing open‑to‑buy processes, seasonal buy execution and inventory forecasting.
- Strong analytical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners including merchandising, supply chain, finance and IT.
- Self‑starter with a strong sense of urgency, excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; capable of preparing executive decks and presenting findings.

Experience
At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in planning, buying or inventory management for a multi‑channel fashion or lifestyle business, with exposure to global open‑to‑buy processes, PO management and cross‑functional supply chain coordination. Experience with JOOR and SAP is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
