Senior Director overseeing the strategic direction and execution of asset protection, security, and safety initiatives across Tapestry's global retail, fulfillment, and corporate locations. This executive role encompasses leading physical security programs, managing the Global Security Operations Center, establishing enterprise security policies, directing investigations, managing executive protection, and building a comprehensive crisis management and business continuity program. The role reports to the VP of Asset Protection and partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and protection of company assets, employees, and customers.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction and execution of all asset protection, security, and safety initiatives globally across retail stores, fulfillment centers, and corporate sites
  • Oversee the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), including operational standards, staffing, security technology, incident monitoring, emergency communications, and escalation protocols
  • Establish and maintain consistent global security policies, procedures, and operating standards aligned with business objectives and risk profile
  • Develop and continuously evaluate security measures including access control, visitor management, video surveillance, alarm systems, and emergency-response procedures across all regions
  • Build and lead an enterprise business continuity, crisis management, and incident response program with clear governance and communication frameworks
  • Serve as primary emergency response security liaison with Hudson Yards campus security and building management, coordinating daily security matters and incident response
  • Maintain strong working relationships with NYPD, FDNY, emergency-management partners, and law-enforcement agencies at local, state, federal, and international levels
  • Lead public-private security partnerships to ensure actionable threat information and operational changes are communicated to leadership
  • Provide operational support for Tapestry's executive protection program, including risk assessments, protective intelligence, and travel security coordination
  • Lead security planning for corporate meetings, special events, and leadership gatherings with staffing, access controls, and emergency procedures
  • Direct sensitive investigations involving workplace incidents, theft, misconduct, threats, fraud, and policy violations affecting company operations or reputation
  • Oversee fraud investigations involving internal and external activity, including trend identification, evidence preservation, and corrective action recommendations
  • Lead workplace violence prevention and threat-management efforts through behavioral threat assessments and response planning
  • Advance Tapestry's employee safety program by identifying workplace hazards, analyzing incidents, and recommending corrective actions in compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Develop and maintain incident-response and crisis-management protocols for security threats, medical emergencies, protests, severe weather, and facility disruptions
  • Manage contracted security providers and third-party partners by establishing performance expectations, monitoring service quality, and managing program budgets
  • Evaluate emerging threats, security trends, and geopolitical developments that may affect company employees, locations, and business operations
  • Use security technology, intelligence, incident data, and performance metrics to identify risks and provide actionable leadership reporting
  • Develop and deliver security awareness, emergency preparedness, workplace violence prevention, and safety training across the organization
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing security team with clear responsibilities, professional standards, and succession readiness

  • Extensive experience in enterprise security, asset protection, or risk management at senior executive level
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex security operations across multiple global locations
  • Proven experience leading sensitive investigations and managing workplace misconduct cases
  • Strong background in crisis management, business continuity, and incident response
  • Established relationships with law enforcement, emergency-management agencies, and government officials
  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide security policies and standards
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing security and operational teams
  • Proficiency in security technology platforms, CCTV systems, access control, and incident management tools

Experience

Minimum 15–20 years of progressive experience in enterprise security, asset protection, investigations, or risk management, with at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role overseeing global security operations. Prior experience managing complex, multi-site security programs, leading investigations teams, and interfacing with law enforcement and government agencies is essential.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field preferred. Professional certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Professional Security Professional), or similar credentials are advantageous.
