Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain product cost models and bills of materials (BOM) for apparel, accessories and footwear across seasonal lines.
- Calculate landed costs, FOBs and unit costs, incorporating duties, freight, packaging and other supply-chain charges to enable accurate margin and pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with design, sourcing, production, merchandising and finance to validate costs, qualify assumptions and support product launches.
- Perform margin, variance and sensitivity analyses to quantify cost drivers and recommend design or sourcing alternatives that improve gross margin.
- Maintain and reconcile cost databases and PLM/ERP records to ensure data integrity across product lifecycle systems.
- Identify and track cost‑reduction opportunities and report expected P&L impact to commercial and sourcing leadership.
- Prepare regular management reports and ad‑hoc financial models to support assortment planning, vendor negotiations and executive decision‑making.
- Support implementation and optimisation of costing modules within PLM/ERP platforms and contribute to process documentation and training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience with product costing in apparel, footwear or accessories within retail or branded fashion.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros) and financial modelling.
- Strong analytical capability, attention to detail and ability to translate complex data into actionable commercial insight.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed environment and to influence without direct authority.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings succinctly to commercial and executive stakeholders.
