Role & Responsibilities
- Assess finished‑goods costing across seasonal milestones (DP1, DP2, Market, Production) to validate cost accuracy and compliance with standard cost models.
- Analyze BOMs, process costs, material pricing, yields, labor, overhead and logistics assumptions; perform bottom cost and tooling/mold cost validation.
- Conduct cost variance and sensitivity analyses to identify cost drivers and recommend optimisation actions to improve total cost and margin.
- Maintain and govern costing databases, standard assumptions and cost models to ensure consistency, audit readiness and traceable change history.
- Collaborate directly with shoe factories’ costing teams to obtain cost breakdowns, resolve discrepancies, and challenge quotations using data‑driven benchmarks.
- Validate yield and tooling assumptions with materials, tooling and technical teams and ensure service providers adhere to Tapestry’s costing guidelines.
- Present costing insights and scenario models to Headquarter Product Development; communicate costing risks, impacts and recommended actions clearly and proactively.
- Manage costing calendar obligations—track submissions, approvals and updates across development rounds and support continuous process and system improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ demonstrable experience in footwear product costing or equivalent role within footwear/apparel manufacturing.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese is advantageous.
- Proven ability to analyse complex cost structures and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management experience with factories, technical teams and headquarters teams to drive alignment and negotiation.

Experience
At least 3+ years of focused experience in footwear product costing, including hands‑on BOM analysis, factory costing collaboration, should‑cost benchmarking and margin scenario modelling within a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
