Kate Spade New York Seasonal Stylist (part-time) in Arvin, CA — client-facing styling, sales and omni-channel retail at Outlets at Tejon.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised styling and product advice to customers, creating cohesive looks and suggesting complementary items to drive average transaction value.
- Greet and engage guests warmly; actively listen to needs and ask probing questions to tailor recommendations.
- Execute sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
- Maintain operational standards on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including merchandise presentation, replenishment and inventory organisation.
- Adopt omni-channel and virtual selling techniques; support social media and clienteling initiatives to cultivate repeat business.
- Provide constructive feedback within the team and contribute to a collaborative store environment.
- Safely perform physical tasks as required (regularly lift ~25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs) and maintain flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays and peak retail periods.
Qualifications
- Proven professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment; styling or fashion retail experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn omni-channel selling, virtual appointments and social media-driven commerce.
- English proficiency (or local language proficiency where applicable).
- Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and high-traffic retail days.
Skills
Experience
Prior retail experience is required; hands-on styling or outlet/seasonal retail background preferred. Demonstrated sales performance and customer-facing success will be advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in fashion, merchandising or a related field is a plus.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
