Coach (Tapestry) hires a Temporary Sales Support Associate in Bluffton, SC — part‑time role at the Hilton Head store supporting POS, stockroom and customer service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet clients with warmth and professionalism; anticipate needs and provide personalised assistance to drive service excellence.
  • Operate the POS accurately, manage the cash wrap, and handle cash/media in strict compliance with company policy and loss‑prevention procedures.
  • Receive, process and organise incoming shipments and inter‑store transfers; report inventory discrepancies and maintain stockroom order.
  • Replenish sales floor inventory, execute visual merchandising updates and ensure product presentation meets brand standards.
  • Recommend add‑on products, promote gift cards and capture customer information where permitted to support CRM and sales goals.
  • Support sales floor activities, respond to customer requests confidently, and collaborate with management and the retail team as needed.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards on the sales floor and in the stockroom; perform occasional heavy lifting (regularly 25 lbs, up to 50 lbs).
  • Act as a local brand ambassador; support in‑market visibility and social media engagement when required.
  • Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail seasons and public holidays to meet business needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of retail experience (cashiering, stockroom or sales), preferably within a premium or luxury retail environment; equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
  • Working knowledge of contemporary fashion trends and competitive retail landscape.
  • Proficiency with cash register systems, Mobile POS and basic computer operations (iPad, laptop, internet).
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational aptitude and the ability to multitask in a high‑volume environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills; strong English proficiency.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required by the role (lift up to 50 lbs, climb, bend, kneel, and manoeuvre on the sales floor).

Experience
