Coach (Tapestry) in San Diego seeks a part-time Sales Support Associate at Fashion Valley to manage POS, stockroom, merchandising and client service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet clients with warmth and professionalism, anticipate needs and deliver personalized service on the sales floor and at the cash wrap.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, maintain cash wrap organization, and handle cash and media in strict compliance with company policy.
  • Receive, process and organize inbound shipments and inter-store transfers; report discrepancies and maintain a tidy, accessible stockroom.
  • Manage stock levels, replenish the sales floor, and execute visual merchandising and promotional floor moves as directed.
  • Suggest add-on products, promote gift cards, and capture client information when permitted to support CRM initiatives.
  • Support loss prevention procedures and maintain store housekeeping standards to preserve the brand environment.
  • Assist with social engagement and act as a local brand ambassador when required; partner closely with store management and selling teams during peak periods.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year retail experience (cashiering, stock, or sales), preferably within a luxury or premium retail environment; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Current knowledge of fashion trends and local marketplace competitors.
  • Proficiency with cash register systems, Mobile POS and basic computing (iPad/laptop/Internet); ability to use walkie talkie and read price/product release sheets.
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational aptitude and ability to multitask in a high‑traffic environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and seasonal peaks.
  • Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), bend, climb and maneuver in sales floor and stockroom environments.

Experience

At least 1 year of retail experience is required, with preference given to candidates who have worked in luxury or premium retail environments and have performed cashier, stockroom and merchandising duties.
