Kate Spade New York seeks a Part-time Sales Associate in Troy, MI (Somerset Collection). Styling, client engagement; $15.00–$19.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, build rapport and deliver informed styling advice to create complete looks aligned with the customer’s aesthetic and lifestyle.
- Listen actively to customer needs, ask insightful follow-up questions and recommend add-ons to increase basket size.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge across categories and use storytelling to drive sales and client loyalty.
- Execute omni-channel selling techniques (including virtual selling) and support a seamless checkout experience using POS systems.
- Maintain operational standards: stockroom organization, merchandising, inventory replenishment and visual presentation.
- Promote repeat visits by reinforcing customer choices and delivering a personalized, memorable service experience.
- Perform physical tasks required for the role, including lifting, bending and stockroom movement to support sales floor readiness.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior retail experience; demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Comfortable using POS systems and learning omni-channel/virtual selling tools and workflows.
- Social media awareness and willingness to engage with digital selling and clienteling platforms.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays.
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; able to climb, bend and kneel as required.

Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment is required; candidates should demonstrate successful selling, client engagement and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented store.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
