Kate Spade New York is hiring a Temporary Associate (Retail Stylist) in Toronto, ON — part-time role focused on styling, sales and customer experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, establish rapport and demonstrate deep product knowledge across categories.
- Deliver personalised styling advice, build complete looks and suggest complementary items to increase basket value.
- Actively listen and ask insightful questions to understand customer needs and lifestyle preferences.
- Use creative styling techniques to demonstrate multiple ways to wear products and inspire exploration of new styles.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience, including POS transactions.
- Maintain operational excellence: organize the sales floor and stockroom, manage inventory and support replenishment.
- Drive sales through storytelling and strong customer connections; reinforce customer choices and invite repeat visits.
- Contribute to team feedback culture by giving and receiving constructive input; adapt to omni-channel selling demands.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasonal trading days and public holidays.
- Perform physical tasks required for retail operations, including regular lifting (at least 25 lbs) and occasional heavier lifts (up to 50 lbs).
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail, customer-facing environment; experience in fashion or styling preferred.
- Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing in a busy team environment.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency (local language proficiency per market where applicable).

Experience
Prior retail experience is required; demonstrated success in customer-facing sales roles and familiarity with styling or fashion merchandising is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; retail, fashion or merchandising certificate is an advantage.

The successful candidate will be located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 17.60 to CAD 22 per hour.
