Coach is hiring a Sales Associate (part-time, temporary) in Pismo Beach, CA — client-facing retail role focused on omni-channel selling and styling.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as the front-line ambassador of the Coach brand, delivering elevated, personalized service in alignment with Coach style and service standards.
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships through styling, product expertise and bespoke recommendations to drive loyalty and repeat business.
- Drive sales performance through cross-selling, upselling and executing personal sales plans to meet individual and store KPIs.
- Leverage omni‑channel tools (mobile POS, clienteling platforms, social selling and short-form video) to capture customer data and convert sales.
- Execute daily store operations: process transactions (sales, returns, exchanges, online pickups), manage cash wrap, and support inventory receiving and replenishment.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure sales floor and stockroom are organized, clean and fully stocked; follow asset protection and POS procedures.
- Support teammates across functional areas, participate in brand initiatives and training, and foster a collaborative, trust-based team environment.
- Adapt quickly to changing business needs while sustaining a calm, professional demeanor during peak traffic and promotional periods.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales experience; luxury retail experience preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Proven ability to operate POS systems and mobile POS on devices such as iPad or laptop; basic computer proficiency required.
- Strong English proficiency.
- Demonstrable clienteling and data-acquisition skills; social‑media savvy with experience in short‑form video, live‑stream shopping or video demos preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
- Capable of regularly lifting 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; able to climb, bend, kneel and maneuver in sales floor and stockroom environments.

Experience
Minimum of one year of sales experience; prior luxury or fashion retail experience is preferred. Demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets and executing clienteling strategies is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; combination of education and relevant retail experience will be considered.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
