Kate Spade New York is hiring a part-time Retail Stylist in Leesburg, VA (Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets) — temporary role, $15.00–$19.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted style advisor: greet guests, assess their needs, and provide personalised styling and product recommendations to create complete looks.
- Drive sales through storytelling and relationship-building while actively suggesting add-ons and complementary items.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
- Maintain operational standards including stockroom organisation, visual presentation, and merchandise replenishment.
- Adopt omni-channel selling practices and engage customers via social media and virtual selling tools when required.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail seasons and holidays.
- Perform regular physical tasks: lift up to 25 lbs routinely (occasionally up to 50 lbs), climb, bend and manage salesfloor and stockroom activity.
Qualifications
- Proven professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in fashion, accessories or lifestyle categories.
- Comfortable multitasking and collaborating within a team; receptive to and able to give constructive feedback.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel/virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency (local language proficiency where applicable) and ability to work a flexible schedule.
Skills
Experience
Prior retail experience is required; demonstrated success in sales, client engagement and styling within a fashion or accessories environment is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant retail or styling coursework or certifications are a plus.
