Coach (Tapestry) seeks a Temporary Sales Associate in Elizabeth, NJ — part-time retail role focused on clienteling, omnichannel sales and merchandising.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as a front-line ambassador of the Coach brand, consistently applying Coach Guide to Style and Service standards.
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise, and tailored recommendations to drive loyalty and repeat business.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets through cross-selling, upselling and execution of personal sales plans; meet or exceed KPIs.
- Operate mobile POS and traditional registers; process purchases, returns, exchanges and online order pick-ups efficiently.
- Leverage clienteling tools and social selling (including short-form video and live-stream formats) to capture customer data and convert leads.
- Maintain merchandising standards and perform daily operational tasks including inventory processing, replenishment, visual merchandising and stockroom organization.
- Support inventory cycles by receiving shipments, stocking merchandise and managing product flow.
- Adapt selling techniques to multiple customers simultaneously while maintaining high energy and professional service.
- Collaborate with teammates, participate in training and brand initiatives, and foster a trust-based team environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience; luxury retail experience preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Proficiency with POS operation and basic computing (iPad/laptop); comfortable using mobile POS and walkie-talkie.
- Demonstrated clienteling and data acquisition skills; social media savvy with experience in short-form video or live-stream selling preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays.
- Physical capability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel and maneuver the sales floor and stockroom.
- Strong English language proficiency.

Experience
At least one year of retail or sales experience is required; experience within luxury retail, omni-channel selling, clienteling and social/live-stream commerce is strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; combination of education and related experience will be considered.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
