Coach is hiring a Sales Associate in Chicago, IL to deliver luxury client service and drive omni‑channel sales at 444 N. Michigan Ave.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as the front‑line ambassador of the Coach brand by delivering elevated, personalised luxury service in accordance with the Coach Guide to Style and Service.
  • Develop and maintain lasting client relationships through styling advice, product expertise and proactive follow‑up to drive repeat business.
  • Drive sales performance through cross‑selling, upselling and execution of individual sales plans to meet or exceed personal and store KPIs.
  • Sell across channels using mobile POS, clienteling tools and social selling (including short‑form video) to capture client data and convert prospects.
  • Execute daily store operations: process transactions (purchases, returns, exchanges, online pickups), manage inventory cycles, replenish stock and maintain visual merchandising standards.
  • Keep the sales floor and stockroom organised and compliant with asset protection and POS procedures; assist teammates across functional areas as needed.
  • Maintain professional composure and energy on the floor; adapt selling techniques to fluctuating business needs and peak traffic periods.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience; luxury retail experience preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience operating POS systems and familiarity with iPad/laptop‑based Mobile POS workflows.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally to 50 lbs), climb, bend, kneel and manage stockroom activity.
  • Strong English language proficiency.

Experience

At least one year of direct sales experience, preferably in luxury or premium retail; experience with omni‑channel selling, clienteling and social/live video commerce is strongly desired.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of relevant education and retail experience will be considered.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
