Coach (Tapestry) in Birch Run, MI is hiring a part-time Sales Associate to deliver luxury retail service and omni-channel sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as a front-line ambassador for the Coach brand, delivering elevated, personalized luxury service consistent with Coach Guide to Style and Service standards.
- Build and sustain client relationships through personalized styling, product expertise and proactive follow-up to drive repeat business.
- Achieve individual and store KPIs through cross-selling, upselling and tailored recommendations; develop and execute personal sales plans.
- Leverage mobile POS, clienteling tools and social selling (including short-form video and live-stream demos) to capture customer data and convert sales.
- Perform daily retail operations including transaction processing (purchases, returns, exchanges, online pickups), inventory processing, replenishment and basic visual merchandising.
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and stockroom; adhere to POS, asset protection and store policies.
- Support inventory cycles: receive shipments, stock shelves and manage product movement; assist teammates across functional areas as needed.
- Participate in brand initiatives, training programs and inclusion activities; accept feedback and adapt behaviour while maintaining a professional demeanour.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1+ years of sales experience; luxury retail experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience operating POS systems and mobile POS (iPad/laptop), plus familiarity with clienteling tools and basic computer skills.
- Strong oral English communication skills.
- Social media savvy with experience or aptitude for social selling, short-form video or live-stream shopping preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and perform physical tasks (climb, bend, kneel).
Skills
Experience
At least 1 year of retail sales experience; prior luxury or premium retail experience preferred. Proven track record of meeting sales targets and using clienteling/omni-channel tools.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or fashion coursework preferred. A combination of education and relevant sales experience will be considered.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Birch Run, Michigan, USA, with easy access to Detroit.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.25 per hour.
