Coach (Tapestry) seeks a Retail Training & Development Manager in Hong Kong to lead retail learning, field coaching and capability across Hong Kong & Macau.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, localize and deliver product, selling and customer-experience training that translates brand and market strategy into practical, store-ready behaviours.
- Drive capability-building initiatives to support sales growth and elevate customer experience across Hong Kong and Macau stores.
- Partner with Retail leadership and HR to enable key business initiatives (campaigns, CX programs, new store openings) ensuring people readiness.
- Conduct regular store visits, provide field coaching and on-floor engagement to embed learning and raise execution standards.
- Identify training needs through data, feedback and observation and develop pragmatic solutions for all retail levels.
- Develop retail teams and leaders via coaching, facilitation and structured development journeys; support talent pipelines.
- Deliver and adapt learning in retail‑friendly formats (classroom, in-store, on-the-job, digital and toolkits) and maintain training records.
- Measure learning effectiveness, follow up on action plans and iterate programs to maximise business and people outcomes.
- Translate and adapt global learning materials to ensure brand voice, accuracy and local market relevance.
- Administer and improve the learning platform to enhance engagement and learner experience; coordinate external partners and vendors.
- Manage the training budget and track spend to ensure efficient use of resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail training and development; luxury, fashion or cosmetics experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable capability in training needs analysis, facilitation, field coaching, customer service training and career development programs.
- Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel; capable in Chinese word processing and comfortable with digital learning platforms.
- Professional training certifications (coaching, facilitation, instructional design) are advantageous.
- Flexible to work occasional weekends/extended hours and travel across markets as required.
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years of progressive experience in retail learning & development, with a proven track record in designing and delivering retail training programs, conducting field coaching and partnering with store leadership; experience within luxury, fashion or cosmetics retail is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Management or a related discipline.
