Kate Spade New York seeks a Retail Supervisor in Auburn Hills, MI (Great Lakes Crossing Outlets) to lead sales, client service and store operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead by example on the sales floor to drive personal and team sales performance and achieve KPI targets; analyse metrics and deploy best practices to improve productivity and conversion.
- Build and deepen client relationships through proactive outreach, exceptional in-store and after-sales service, VIP retention and loyalty data capture.
- Coach, mentor and develop the sales team; support recruitment, onboarding, performance feedback and individual development plans.
- Execute and supervise opening/closing procedures including cash handling, bank deposits, register operations and key-holding/security responsibilities.
- Oversee inventory integrity: process POS transactions, manage transfers, receiving, shipments, repairs and damages; maintain an organised stockroom and timely replenishment.
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives (including live-stream shopping), promote brand-safe social engagement and leverage clienteling systems to increase repeat business.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and customer-first store environment; model kate spade service behaviours and company competencies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years in a retail service environment in a management or floor leadership role; luxury or premium retail experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented and able to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Social media literacy and a working knowledge of platform trends; comfort using omni-channel/virtual selling tools and clienteling systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays; ability to lift regularly 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
- High level of customer orientation and demonstrated coaching capability.
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years of progressive retail experience in a supervisory or floor leadership capacity; experience in luxury or premium retail is preferred. Demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets, coaching teams and managing store operations.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional retail management or post-secondary education preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 16 to USD 24.75 per hour.
