Kate Spade New York seeks a part-time Retail Stylist in Petaluma, CA (Petaluma Village Premium Outlets). Temporary retail sales role focused on styling and client engagement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers warmly, using deep product knowledge to advise on styling and create complete looks.
- Listen actively, ask targeted questions, and tailor suggestions to each customer’s aesthetic and lifestyle.
- Drive sales through storytelling, strategic add-on recommendations and conversion at point-of-sale.
- Demonstrate multiple ways to wear and integrate products to encourage discovery and repeat visits.
- Maintain operational excellence: accurate POS transactions, tidy and organized stockroom, efficient merchandising.
- Support omnichannel selling and virtual client interactions; adapt to social and digital selling initiatives.
- Perform routine physical tasks required on the sales floor and stockroom, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Comfort with social media and willingness to learn omnichannel / virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; ability to climb, bend and maneuver the sales floor.

Experience
Prior experience working in a retail sales or customer-facing retail environment is required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The successful candidate will be located in Petaluma, California, USA, with easy access to San Francisco.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
