Kate Spade New York seeks a Retail Stylist in Milpitas, CA (Great Mall) — part-time role advising clients and driving sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome customers with warmth and confidence, demonstrating thorough product knowledge across categories.
- Actively listen and ask targeted questions to uncover clients’ aesthetic preferences and lifestyle needs.
- Provide personalised styling advice, assemble complete looks, recommend complementary items and encourage exploration of new styles.
- Demonstrate multiple ways to wear and use products to increase basket size and client satisfaction.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure an efficient, error-free checkout using POS systems.
- Maintain sales floor and stockroom organisation, manage inventory replenishment and visual merchandising standards.
- Drive sales through storytelling and strong client relationships; solicit repeat visits and build loyalty.
- Give and receive constructive feedback; collaborate with the team to meet store targets.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, high-traffic days and public holidays.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in fashion or accessories.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced team.
- Social media awareness and a willingness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency (or proficiency in the local market language).
- Physically able to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and perform routine sales-floor duties.

Experience
Previous retail sales experience is required, with proven success in customer-facing roles and demonstrated ability to meet sales targets through styling and client engagement.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail, fashion or visual merchandising preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
