Kate Spade New York seeks a Part-Time Retail Stylist in Hanover, MD. Temporary Associate role delivering styling, sales and omni-channel service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with warmth and confidence and demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge across categories.
- Listen actively and ask incisive questions to understand customer needs and personal style.
- Provide personalized styling advice, assemble complete looks and suggest complementary add-ons to increase basket value.
- Demonstrate multiple ways to wear and use products to inspire exploration of new styles.
- Drive sales through storytelling and strong customer relationships; guide customers through purchase and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
- Maintain operational excellence: accurate POS transactions, stockroom organization, visual presentation and inventory replenishment.
- Adopt omni-channel and virtual selling techniques and engage with customers via social media where appropriate.
- Provide and accept constructive feedback and contribute to team performance and store standards.
- Perform physical tasks as required: lift regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), climb, bend and manage the sales floor and stockroom.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Previous experience in a retail environment; experience with lifestyle or fashion brands preferred.
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs and perform routine physical tasks.
Skills
Experience
Prior retail experience is required; preference given to candidates with experience in fashion, lifestyle or specialty retail. Experience in clienteling and building repeat customer relationships is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

This position is based in Hanover, Maryland, USA, within easy reach of Baltimore.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
