Kate Spade New York in Chesterfield, MO seeks a part-time Retail Stylist at St. Louis Premium Outlets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage customers with warmth and confidence, demonstrating authoritative product knowledge across categories.
- Conduct consultative conversations to identify customer needs and translate them into curated looks and complementary product suggestions.
- Provide bespoke styling advice and create complete outfits that integrate handbags, apparel, accessories and footwear.
- Use visual storytelling and creative merchandising on the sales floor to showcase multiple ways to wear and combine product.
- Drive sales through relationship building, cross-sell and add-on recommendations, and persuasive product narratives.
- Manage point-of-sale transactions and ensure a seamless checkout experience for customers.
- Maintain operational standards including stockroom organisation, inventory replenishment and merchandise presentation.
- Invite customer loyalty by reinforcing purchase decisions and encouraging future visits.
- Adapt to omnichannel selling opportunities including virtual selling and social-media-driven interactions.
- Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays; perform light-to-moderate physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
Qualifications
- Proven professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior retail experience, ideally within fashion, accessories or lifestyle categories.
- Demonstrable ability to multitask, prioritise and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with social media and a willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and peak retail periods.
- Ability to perform physical tasks required by retail operations (lifting, bending, climbing).
Skills
Experience
Previous experience in a retail environment with direct selling responsibilities is required; demonstrated success in customer-facing, style-driven sales is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; retail, fashion or styling coursework or certification preferred.
