Kate Spade New York is hiring a part-time Retail Stylist (Temporary Associate) in Barstow, CA — $15.00–$19.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and build rapport while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge.
- Provide personalised styling advice, assemble complete looks and suggest complementary add-ons to increase basket size.
- Actively listen and ask targeted questions to understand customer needs and guide purchase decisions.
- Showcase multiple ways to wear and integrate Kate Spade pieces using creativity and visual merchandising principles.
- Deliver a seamless checkout experience, operating the point-of-sale (POS) and maintaining accurate transactions.
- Maintain operational excellence: organise stockroom, replenish floor merchandise, and assist with inventory control.
- Support omnichannel and virtual selling initiatives, engaging customers via social media and digital tools as required.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and peak retail periods; assist in-store as needed.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication.
- Prior retail experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with social media and a willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency (or local language proficiency as required by market).
- Ability to lift regularly at least 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and perform physical tasks on the sales floor and stockroom.

Experience
Prior experience working in a retail environment is required; previous styling or luxury retail experience is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
