Kate Spade New York seeks a Temporary Retail Sales Associate in Lutz, Florida (Tampa Premium Outlets) — part-time, $15–$19.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, build rapport and demonstrate expert product knowledge across categories.
- Listen actively to understand customer needs and provide tailored styling advice to create complete looks.
- Drive sales through storytelling, product placement and suggestive selling, including add-ons and cross-category recommendations.
- Deliver a seamless checkout experience via POS transactions and ensure accurate cash-handling and till reconciliation.
- Maintain operational excellence: organise the sales floor and stockroom, receive and process inventory, and assist visual merchandising.
- Use creativity to demonstrate multiple ways to wear product and encourage customers to explore new styles and omni-channel offerings.
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices to build loyalty and invite repeat visits.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback to continuously improve individual and store performance.
- Work a flexible schedule to cover nights, weekends, peak shopping periods and public holidays; perform light to moderate physical tasks including lifting and stock replenishment.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment; customer-facing sales experience preferred.
- Comfortable multitasking, prioritising and collaborating within a fast-paced team environment.
- Social media awareness and a willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holiday periods.
- Ability to lift regularly at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment is required; direct customer-facing sales experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and deliver high-quality customer service.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; retail training or coursework in fashion/merchandising is a plus.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
