Kate Spade New York seeks a part-time Retail Sales Associate in Nashville, TN (Opry Mills) to deliver styling-led customer service and drive sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome customers with warmth and confidence, demonstrating thorough product knowledge across categories.
- Conduct consultative styling conversations to discover customers’ tastes and build complete looks that integrate Kate Spade products.
- Use creative merchandising and storytelling to demonstrate multiple ways to wear items and to upsell complementary pieces.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and complete point-of-sale transactions, ensuring a seamless checkout experience.
- Maintain operational standards including stockroom organization, inventory replenishment, and accurate POS handling.
- Drive sales results through strong customer relationships, product storytelling and consistent follow-up to invite return visits.
- Share and receive constructive feedback to improve individual and store performance.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication.
- Prior experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, peak retail days and public holidays.
- Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; comfortable bending, climbing and maneuvering the sales floor and stockroom.
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in a retail setting is required; demonstrable selling experience and customer-facing success preferred. Experience with fashion or lifestyle brands is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or training in fashion, merchandising, or retail is advantageous.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
