Tapestry in Sydney seeks a Retail Finance Manager to lead ANZ sales, margin reporting and forecasting for Coach & Kate Spade.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead reporting, analysis and planning of sales and gross margin for ANZ direct businesses, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to leadership.
- Synthesize daily/weekly/monthly sales performance and variances versus plan, providing concise explanations and actionable insights for regional and local review.
- Develop, maintain and manage bottom-up sales plans, forecasts, quarterly/annual projections and long-range plans aligned to strategic priorities.
- Define, track and maintain all retail KPIs (e.g., traffic, conversion, ADT, UPT, AUR, AUC, DR%, Gross Margin, IMU%), and present benchmarking and productivity analysis by store/size/customer/labour hr.
- Partner with global and regional merchandising teams to translate seasonal strategies and newness into commercial plans and category growth initiatives.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decision-making, merchandising and expense planning, and drive margin optimisation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, leverage tools and cross-functional teams to increase efficiency, and lead or contribute to special projects as required.
- Surface SWOT and key business risks/opportunities; prepare and deliver succinct discussion points for critical management forums.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline; professional accounting qualification (CPA/CA) or progress toward one is preferred.
- Proven commercial finance experience within retail or consumer goods, with demonstrated ownership of sales forecasting, margin analysis and planning.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, including experience partnering with merchandising and operations teams.
- Proven ability to synthesise complex data into clear, executive-level insights and recommendations.

Experience
Typically 5+ years in finance or commercial analytics roles, with at least several years focused on retail or consumer-facing businesses and demonstrated experience owning forecasting, reporting and margin analysis.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a closely related field; professional accounting credential (CPA/CA) preferred.
