Kate Spade New York in Livermore, CA seeks a part-time Retail Associate (temporary) to deliver styling, sales and brand experiences at San Francisco Premium Outlets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage guests with confident, well-informed service that reflects the Kate Spade brand.
- Provide personalised styling advice, assemble complete looks and recommend add‑ons to drive conversion and average transaction value.
- Listen actively, ask probing questions to identify customer needs, and guide purchase decisions through storytelling.
- Operate the point of sale and ensure a seamless checkout experience while maintaining accurate transaction and stockroom procedures.
- Maintain visual and operational standards on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including merchandising and inventory organisation.
- Support omni-channel selling and virtual client interactions when required; reinforce customer relationships to encourage repeat visits.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment, ideally in fashion or lifestyle brands.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Comfortable using social media and open to learning omni‑channel/virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; able to climb, bend and manoeuvre throughout the salesfloor and stockroom.

Prior retail experience required; demonstrated professional selling or styling experience preferred.
