Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and execute visual merchandising strategies across retail and wholesale locations, managing monthly floorsets, window displays, and brand initiatives
- Conduct regular store visits and follow-ups to retail and key wholesale stores, providing hands-on coaching and visual merchandising training for store leadership and visual leads
- Manage the photo review process for all stores within scope, providing timely and constructive feedback to store leaders to ensure consistent brand execution across the fleet
- Assess regional talent by store, identify top performers and development opportunities, and facilitate training conference calls and in-person seminars for visual leads
- Collaborate with the Global Visual Execution team to ensure strategic alignment on seasonal directions, key brand messages, and market activations
- Own creative layout planning for seasonal windows and in-store presentation mapping, including distribution specifications for 3D/2D elements and marketing materials
- Conduct regular visual audits and maintain merchandising standards across wholesale and travel retail locations, adapting Kate Spade guidelines for varying footprints and customer profiles
- Manage fixture and replenishment store orders (FRSO) and validate floor plans for new store openings and relocations
- Participate in monthly global directive setup with field teams (NYC market), coordinating samples and logistics
- Travel 40–60% monthly throughout region, prioritizing home market locations and high-traffic flagship doors for leadership visits and external engagements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in visual merchandising leadership or regional management within luxury retail or lifestyle brands
- Demonstrated ability to execute brand standards consistently across multiple locations and formats
- Strong understanding of visual design principles, including visual weight, product density, color transitions, and merchandise styling
- Experience working cross-functionally with retail operations, buying, wholesale partnerships, and global teams
- Proficiency in floor plan validation, fixture management, and promotional execution
- Ability to develop and train visual merchandising teams, identifying talent and creating development pathways
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in visual merchandising, retail management, or related field within luxury, lifestyle, or specialty retail. Direct experience managing visual teams or leading visual merchandising across multiple retail locations preferred. Experience working in a matrix or global environment with cross-functional teams is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Fashion, Design, Retail Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
