Tapestry seeks a Production Operations Manager in Bangladesh. Lead manufacturing excellence, quality assurance, and supplier partnerships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assume full accountability for all Production Operations activities within assigned service providers, including quality assurance, manufacturing processes, and CSR performance metrics
- Communicate Quality, Production, and CSR issues promptly to appropriate stakeholders and oversee implementation of Tapestry-mandated corrective actions
- Establish strong cross-functional relationships with service providers to drive alignment with Tapestry strategies and operational objectives
- Lead service providers to exceed performance expectations and deliver consistent execution against monthly production plans
- Champion preventative quality measures and early issue detection across conceptual and manufacturing phases
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance quality assurance systems and documentation practices at supplier facilities
- Assess and optimize service provider organizational structure and staffing levels across all production operations and quality enforcement functions
- Drive resolution of production-related issues with ownership for consistent on-time delivery and supply chain continuity
- Influence implementation of lean manufacturing techniques and innovative methods, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Collaborate on the adoption of new technologies, adhesives, applications, and best practices to improve operational capability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in sourcing handbags, accessories, footwear, or related product lines
- At least 2 years of managerial-level experience at well-established organizations
- Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and vendor management at all organizational levels
- In-depth technical knowledge across all aspects of production operations
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; SAP system knowledge is advantageous
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and oral; Mandarin is a plus

Minimum 8 years of professional experience in sourcing, production, and operations management within the handbag, accessories, footwear, or related luxury product sectors. At least 2 years of managerial-level responsibility at established organizations, demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and drive operational performance across complex manufacturing environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, operations management, or business administration.
