Tapestry Inc. seeks Product Development Coordinator in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to support Coach and Kate Spade product development from sampling through commercialization.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist in all phases of product development from early design through commercialization, managing prototypes, line presentation samples, and brand activation samples with timely execution
  • Support special techniques and product executions including printing, laser work, embossing, and other specialized processes
  • Coordinate leather, material, component, and hardware sourcing; liaise with manufacturing partners and cross-functional teams throughout development
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enforce quality standards; inspect sample quality and execution before delivery to New York headquarters; identify and mitigate potential risks through early-stage testing and trials
  • Build and maintain connectivity across strategy, costing, materials sourcing, hardware, and production teams to ensure consistent information flow and proper material and component utilization
  • Lead handover meetings with cross-functional teams to communicate design details, quality risks, special executions, and long lead time collection requirements
  • Maintain all required reports and documentation in the EC-Vision system to specified deadlines
  • Verify allocation and monthly transfer lists for accuracy; manage transfer development assignments
  • Conduct supplier facility visits to verify sample execution and quality before shipment

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of product development experience in handbags, wallets, or fashion accessories, preferably with branded experience; alternatively, exceptional fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities with proactive, independent follow-up on design requirements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of bag and fashion accessories manufacturing processes; familiarity with fabric and leather characteristics
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multicultural team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Professional-level English proficiency
