Tapestry seeks a People Operations Specialist in New York for a 12-month contract to manage HRIS, onboarding and HR operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day HR operations support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, status changes and record maintenance.
  • Administer and maintain HR systems and data integrity within the HRIS; run regular audits and produce operational headcount and people analytics reports.
  • Coordinate benefits, leave administration and payroll liaising with vendors and internal partners to resolve employee inquiries.
  • Support compliance activities related to employment policies, documentation, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Drive process improvements and standard operating procedures for People Operations; support cross-functional HR projects and rollouts.
  • Act as a first-line internal point of contact for employee queries, escalating complex matters to HR business partners or centers of expertise as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of progressive HR operations or HR generalist experience; experience in retail, fashion or consumer brands preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience administering HR systems and ensuring data accuracy across employee records.
  • Strong understanding of US employment compliance and payroll/benefits administration processes.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline — or equivalent professional experience.
