Kate Spade New York (Tapestry) seeks a Manager, Store Design in New York, NY to lead global store environments from concept through opening.
Role & Responsibilities
- Translate Kate Spade’s retail concept into compelling physical environments across global markets, ensuring consistency with brand DNA.
- Develop spatial layouts, plans and detailed design solutions that balance storytelling, customer circulation and operational needs.
- Produce comprehensive AutoCAD drawing packages including plans, elevations and construction details for store roll‑out.
- Build 3D models and photorealistic renderings to support design development and internal stakeholder alignment.
- Manage store design projects from early concept through construction and opening, coordinating timelines and deliverables.
- Partner with Real Estate, Construction, Visual Merchandising and local teams to align design intent with site constraints and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with external architects, vendors and fabricators; review shop drawings, material samples and mockups to ensure quality and brand fidelity.
- Contribute to and maintain the global store design toolkit to ensure repeatability and scalability across regions.
Qualifications
- 6+ years’ professional experience in retail store design, architecture or interior design, preferably with luxury or premium retail brands.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience producing technical drawing packages and coordinating with vendors and consultants during construction.
- Demonstrated project management capability, with experience managing multiple concurrent store projects and timelines.
- Excellent visual communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate design rationale to cross‑functional stakeholders.

Experience
A minimum of six years in retail store design, architecture or interior design with a track record of delivering retail fit‑outs from concept through construction; prior experience with luxury or premium retail environments is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 95,000 to USD 100,000 per annum.
