Tapestry seeks a Manager, Statutory Accounting in London, UK to lead European statutory reporting and audit liaison for Coach and Kate Spade.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and maintenance of US GAAP to local GAAP bridge files and document necessary adjustments for European entities.
- Prepare statutory financial statements using OneSource software and collaborate with external auditors to implement updates, compile audit support and ensure timely statutory submissions.
- Coordinate closely with Transfer Pricing and Tax teams to capture required adjustments and provide ad hoc information for tax-related projects and interim bridge files.
- Act as a primary liaison with European auditors, external accountants, company secretaries and local directors to resolve queries and complete statutory formalities.
- Drive cross‑functional coordination across Europe, Asia and the US to deliver on-time, complete responses to auditor and accountant requests.
- Support the Statutory Reporting Managers and Senior Director to ensure successful preparation and filing of European statutory accounts and clear communication across the European Finance team.
- Research, document and communicate changes to UK GAAP and other relevant reporting standards and assess impacts on local accounting teams.
- Propose and implement continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, controls and quality across statutory reporting activities.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through seminars and professional development to ensure compliance with evolving statutory reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Newly qualified ACA (required).
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of statutory accounting and financial reporting principles; familiarity with US GAAP advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with high accuracy and attention to detail; ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills and experience liaising with auditors and external advisers.
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available for this role).

Experience
Proven experience in statutory accounting and European statutory reporting, including direct interaction with external auditors and external accountants. Experience in a retail or consumer goods environment is advantageous; track record of delivering timely statutory filings and process improvements across multi‑jurisdictional entities.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline; newly qualified ACA.
