Tapestry Manager, North America Architecture
Coach (Tapestry) seeks a Manager, North America Architecture in New York to lead retail architecture and capital projects across North America.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the North America architecture function, setting design standards and directing the execution of store, flagship and wholesale environment projects across the region.
- Manage end-to-end capital projects including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, procurement and site construction oversight.
- Supervise, mentor and develop an in-house architecture/stores team and coordinate cross-functionally with retail operations, merchandising and construction partners.
- Maintain and evolve brand design guidelines to ensure consistent expression of Coach’s aesthetic while adapting to local markets and formats.
- Select and manage external consultants and contractors; negotiate contracts, review deliverables and enforce quality, safety and code compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing standardized processes, cost controls and reporting for project delivery across the North American portfolio.
- Represent the architecture function on steering committees and provide strategic input on store network planning and real estate decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field; professional registration (RA/NCARB) preferred.
- Proven experience leading architecture and store design teams, with demonstrable ownership of retail capital programs.
- Strong command of construction documentation, permit processes, building codes and contract administration.
- Established track record managing multimillion-dollar budgets and delivering projects on schedule.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence at senior levels and across disciplines.
- Willingness to travel regularly across North America for site visits and project oversight.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 7 years of professional architecture experience, with at least several years managing retail or commercial projects and leading teams. Prior experience within luxury fashion, lifestyle or high-end retail environments is strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline; professional architecture licensure preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to USD 100,000 per annum.
