Tapestry seeks a Manager of Corporate Communications & Employee Engagement in Tokyo to drive strategic internal communications and employee advocacy as a growth lever.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Translate Tapestry's growth strategy into clear, compelling local narratives that build belief and alignment across employee populations
  • Develop and execute an integrated internal storytelling engine spanning monthly gatherings, townhalls, intranet communications (LOOP), and newsletters
  • Create multi-format content (written, visual, digital, and in-person events) that simplifies strategy and reinforces strategic priority
  • Design and deliver engagement programs that strengthen employee pride, belonging, and advocacy, including social impact initiatives, cultural moments, and recognition programs
  • Build a culture where employees function as brand ambassadors, linking engagement metrics to brand and business outcomes
  • Embed growth mindset culture through storytelling campaigns and support leadership in role-modeling desired behaviors
  • Partner with leadership to cascade priorities clearly and support key transformation initiatives through structured change communications
  • Leverage video, visual, and digital-first content formats to drive engagement and clarity at scale across LOOP and Teams platforms
  • Define and track engagement KPIs including employee engagement survey results, participation rates, content performance, and employee listening metrics
  • Establish feedback loops to continuously improve communications effectiveness and contribute to measurement frameworks linking engagement to business impact

Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of professional experience in internal communications, employee engagement, community building, or related field
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English, with demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and extract clear headlines from complex information
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and willingness to experiment with emerging technologies to accelerate research, drafting, and analysis
  • Proven experience developing and implementing content across multiple formats: written, visual, digital, and in-person or online events
  • Strong track record of operating as a strategic business partner rather than a communications executor
  • Deep understanding of how employee engagement drives brand heat and organizational growth
  • Demonstrated capability in fast-paced, high-volume communication environments while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and quality
  • A demonstrated passion for the luxury fashion and lifestyle brands represented by Coach and Kate Spade New York
