Kate Spade New York seeks a Jewelry Designer in New York, NY to lead seasonal jewelry from concept to sample (full-time).
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead design development for seasonal jewelry assortments from concept through final sample, aligned to the seasonal design calendar.
- Conduct trend, materials and technique research to generate fresh, brand-authentic jewelry concepts.
- Produce detailed CAD drawings and renderings for vendor communication and sampling.
- Create and maintain accurate spec sheets, technical packages and finish/color references across development stages.
- Prepare and present seasonal mood boards and design presentations to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with merchandising, production and sourcing teams to ensure commercial viability and timely delivery.
- Organize and maintain material libraries, component archives and reference samples to support ongoing development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design or equivalent professional experience; portfolio required.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on jewelry design experience with demonstrated ownership of projects end-to-end.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and CAD for jewelry rendering.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple timelines and technical documentation.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; able to communicate design intent clearly to cross-functional and vendor partners.
- Keen sense of trend, finish and color; strong alignment with Kate Spade’s aesthetic and brand voice.

Experience
At least 3 years of professional jewelry design experience, including ownership of concept-to-sample development, vendor communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 95,000 to USD 108,000 per annum.
