Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and directly supervise a shift team of approximately 15–35 hourly associates, clerks and drivers in the Putwall department.
• Set performance expectations, deliver regular one-on-one and team feedback, and drive achievement of productivity, quality and safety goals.
• Coordinate daily tactical planning and staffing coverage across shifts with other supervisors and operations partners.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, training materials and WMS workflows; update documentation as needed.
• Report weekly and monthly performance metrics and support financial processes and inventory control as requested.
• Cross-train associates to maintain operational flexibility and lead projects to deliver continuous improvement.
• Partner with HR and recruiting to hire, onboard and backfill positions; coach and develop direct reports.
• Operate and troubleshoot within Manhattan WMS and collaborate via Microsoft Outlook and Teams to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain physical performance expectations: frequently lift up to 50 lb, stand and walk for up to 12-hour shifts in varying noise and temperature conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center; experience supervising teams of 15+ is preferred.
• Proven ability to train, coach, motivate and develop hourly associates with limited direct supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with a warehouse management system (WMS), preferably Manhattan WMS.
• Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution and decision‑making skills; ability to manage shifting priorities and volumes.

Skills

Experience

At least 2 years in a supervisor-level role within a warehouse or distribution center; preferred candidates will have 5+ years of DC supervisory experience and a track record of process optimization, people development and continuous improvement.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 68,000 to USD 70,000 per annum.
