Role & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a departmental team (typically 15–35 hourly associates, clerks and drivers) within a multi‑shift, seven‑day fulfillment centre.
• Provide regular team and one‑on‑one coaching, performance feedback and development planning to direct reports.
• Coordinate daily tactical planning and cross‑shift handovers with other supervisors and functional partners (transportation, workflow, customer service).
• Enforce and maintain standard operating procedures, training documentation and safety protocols; update materials as processes evolve.
• Monitor and report weekly and monthly performance against productivity, quality and service goals.
• Analyse staffing requirements and deploy resources to match volume; manage cross‑training to ensure operational resilience.
• Lead and deliver continuous improvement projects to optimise throughput, reduce waste and improve service metrics.
• Support financial processes as directed by the Operations Manager and partner with HR/recruiting to hire and backfill positions.
• Operate warehouse systems and communication tools (Manhattan WMS, Microsoft Outlook, Teams) to manage workflows and escalations.
• Perform physical activities required by the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing/walking for extended periods during a shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment; 5+ years preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, coach and motivate hourly teams with minimal supervision.
• Proven track record in problem solving, conflict resolution and decision making in an operations setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; prior experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.

Skills

Experience

Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution centre; candidates with 5+ years of distribution‑supervisor experience and demonstrated continuous improvement leadership are strongly preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 68,000 to USD 70,000 per annum.
