Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute quality audits at supplier sites including incoming materials, in‑line production and pre‑shipment inspections to ensure conformity with product specifications and AQL standards.
- Perform detailed assessments of footwear construction (uppers, lasts, soles, stitching, adhesives), materials handling and finish standards; document nonconformities and classify severity.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with suppliers and internal teams until resolution and verification.
- Maintain and update inspection records, audit reports and scorecards; analyse quality trends and present findings to product, sourcing and supply‑chain stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver supplier training on quality standards, measurement methods and workmanship expectations; support capability building at strategic factories.
- Collaborate with design, product development and testing laboratories to validate fit, wear, performance and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Support new supplier qualification, periodic re‑qualification and continuous improvement initiatives across the footwear supply base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in materials science, industrial or manufacturing engineering, leather/footwear technology or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of footwear construction, materials (leather, synthetics, rubbers) and common manufacturing defects.
- Practical experience with AQL sampling, inspection techniques and supplier audits; familiarity with ISO 9001 quality frameworks preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesise inspection data and drive CAPA through cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to produce clear, actionable audit reports.
- Willingness to travel internationally to supplier locations; ability to work within multicultural teams and factory environments.

Mid‑level professional with 3–5 years of hands‑on quality assurance or audit experience in footwear manufacturing or closely related leather goods production, including supplier auditing and corrective action management.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in materials science, industrial/manufacturing engineering, leather or footwear technology, or equivalent practical experience.
