Role & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with footwear technicians, product developers, and designers to evaluate footwear fit, comfort, and performance across prototype, sales sample, approval sample, grading-test, and production stages.
• Partner with footwear technicians on new last and construction development, assessment, and correction.
• Provide honest, constructive feedback on footwear fit, comfort, style, and quality.
• Identify and report footwear fit issues or defects.
• Follow instructions for fitting and wearing footwear.
• Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude during fitting sessions.
• Maintain foot care.
• Update and maintain detailed fitting approval records.
• Be reliable, punctual, professional, and courteous with workmates, customers, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Have a foot shape representative of the average customer.
• Wear US size 6B, matching the footwear company and designer’s target market.
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Have a good sense of style and fashion.
• Have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality and craftsmanship.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Be willing to try on different types of footwear and provide feedback, including dress, casual, high heels, flats, ballet flats, pumps, sandals, booties, boots, sneakers, jelly shoes, flip-flops, vulcanized, and injected footwear.
• Be results-driven, understand business needs, and execute with excellence.
• Be motivated and energized.
• Adapt to changing business needs.
• Have excellent organizational and record-keeping skills and attention to detail.
• Show passion and enthusiasm for footwear products.
• Have a flexible schedule and availability for fitting sessions.
• Adapt to different types of footwear and working environments.
• Be available to travel to service providers (suppliers).
• Be fluent in written and spoken English.
• Prior experience as a footwear fitting model or in a similar role is a plus.
• Experience working in a global or multicultural environment is a plus.
