Role & Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and write compelling copy that drives consumer engagement across digital, print and product touchpoints.
- Define, develop and maintain the brand voice for marketing, editorial and product romance copy.
- Generate evocative product names and category-specific naming conventions across product assortments.
- Produce product descriptions, email copy and social/digital content optimized for e‑commerce and campaign use.
- Proofread and quality-control external communications, including PR releases, ad campaign copy and talent social posts.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Brand Creative, Commerce and Ecommerce teams to align storytelling with commercial and creative strategies.
- Contribute to special projects such as campaigns, store collateral and concept development.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and day-to-day management to a team of copywriters; foster editorial excellence and professional development.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an editorial or brand writer, with demonstrable experience producing copy across digital, product and campaign channels.
- B.A. or B.S. in Journalism, English, Creative Writing or a liberal arts discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor copywriters, including providing constructive feedback and development guidance.
- Exceptional writing, self-editing and proofreading skills; ability to write clearly, concisely and persuasively.
- Comfort working to tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail and a holistic editorial vision.
- Cultural awareness and demonstrated ability to write inclusively for global audiences.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and the capacity to balance editorial quality with commercial requirements.
- Curiosity about AI writing/editing tools and willingness to adopt technologies that improve editorial efficiency.

At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience as an editorial or brand writer, including experience producing copy for e‑commerce, product romance, campaigns and managing or mentoring junior copywriters.
Education
B.A. or B.S. in Journalism, English, Creative Writing or a related liberal arts discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.
